"Framed"
I had hoped to finish "Framed" on Thursday and I was able to. It is small, so a pleasure to quilt.
After quilting what feels like dozens of large ones (probably an exaggeration), quilting one that is only 48"x66" was a "piece of cake" - - or at least handling it was. Big ones are a hassle - their bulk AND weight making them hard to maneuver under the needle.
I quilted it with a simple loop de loop.
Here are a few close ups.
I've found, that for me, I have the best success with machine quilting when I use polyester machine embroidery thread. It has a little sheen which I like and is tough. But I co have some cotton thread that someone gave me, though, so I'll try again!
When I looked through my fabric for backing - the best match was actually a floral. So, while not particularly "kid friendly", I thought, "Why not?"
The pattern is here, for anyone who might want to know exactly how I made this one.
And my sis has been putting up dozens of new fabrics daily for the last few days. So, be sure to check out the goodies she has found for you!
