Quilted Twins

"Window View"

One of my quick, easy, and fun quilts made from the scrubs remnants that my sis and I acquired as part of a "lot" of a ladies' fabric is finished.

This is the second giraffe one I made. My pieces were rather large and because of the nature of giraffes, I wanted to keep them large. The first one I did was "Triple the Fun" discussed here.

I was a bit afraid that the shade, while making for a pretty background, meant you can't actually see the design so well, so I took some close ups.

I was kind of dealing with the wind - we have a lot of wind in Poland, I've noticed!  These are fussy cut squares along the bottom.

Here you should be able to see the quilting on the tan on the edge of the window frame.  It's the first time I've done anything like this. I was trying to go for a wood grain effect.

I quilted with pebbles around the frame - because the fabric I used here was called "Stonehenge" - it is wonderful fabric and I thought it appropriate if I made it pebbles and rocks.

Here it is in full sunshine - in our back patio area. This is the color of brown as it is in daylight.

The pattern is in the free patterns section here.  Maybe someone can use it.

While you are here, feel free to check out what my sister has for you in the shopping section. She is trying to put up new things every couple of days. I hear she has rooms full of fabric! Hopefully I'll see it in July!

I trust you are having a good day wherever you are!
