This is a repeat post from a previous year - that’s because this is one tradition that does not change!

It's not changed since last year - so let me send you here.

I know it means one more click, but you should read it. Lots of pictures and Polish tradition!

This year, Thursday, Feb. 8 is "Fat Thursday". This means that everywhere will be donuts!  They will bring them to school and give each kid one in class. People bring them to work., etc

Every supermarket will have a special selection of donuts.

Unfortunately they are very high in calories and not as light and fluffy as a Dunkin Donut or a Krispy Kreme.  They are filling. And yes, I've learned to like them.

Unfortunately.

At first I didn't - they were too dense.  But .I like some of them better than others and I really like cream filled ones. Most of the time they don't have a Bavarian cream type filling - it's normally a whipped cream type filling or a jam filling. I prefer no filling to those two things.
