Crumbs/strings update...back at it
I thought I’d take the time to show you the new rolls of paper tape someone sent me. They were waiting for me in FL. I brought most of them back in my luggage. The rest I’m shipping to myself. They are kind of heavy and after I packed about 5 of them, I figured I wanted the rest of the weight space for fabric - they are in a box coming my way.
So now I have several sizes of this paper tape.
Very thin, regular adding machine tape width, bigger than average and then my very large size which is almost 4” wide. I should make something with all four sizes.
I’m thinking!

In the meantime, the crumb quilt I was working on was this one - I think I’ll pick back up where I left off on it.
I already have my other grays picked out as I’m going to work outward lighter and lighter with them.
This is what I’m planning on using:
I worked on more tape - after working on cleaning up the floor of my sewing room. I’m going to try to work on the counters tomorrow - or maybe next weekend.
This is what I did.
Here’s what I’ve got going. I had some things already sewn to the tape, but I added some more.
But I decided to spend at least an hour in my sewing room. I clean it up and then it gets to be a mess. Very quickly. So I clean it up again. Then it’s a mess again.
Anyway, I suppose if I weren’t working with small pieces, it would be easier - I’d just pick them up and throw them away. As it is, I try to pick them up and put them back in bags. Sometimes those bags topple over and spew small pieces all over the floor. Then I’m right back where I was!
I’m not complaining though. I have a wonderful sewing room. The issues in it are my own fault. I accept that. I also love having a separate room that is mine to play in. I’m working on making it what I want it to be!
And that’s what’s been happening with strings/crumbs from my part of the world this weekend!
Have a great day!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you over in the store!
