Quilted Twins

All packed up and ready to go!

Tuesday afternoon - packing

My husband is ready to head out the door with the quilt and pillowcases!

He’s going to be gone to Alaska for a conference, to see some family members, take care of some things like a driver’s license and visit some supporting churches! All together, almost 3.5 weeks! So it’s going to be a while! If you think of it, please pray for me. I know that many of you live alone, so it is nothing new, but I’m not entirely used to it - at least not for that long of a time!

Our cats love to sit on our suitcases as we prepare things to leave. Here my husband has lain out his clothing items to take. Skagway, our elder cat, has laid claim to them! Here’s the set in a bag before the air is suctioned out. When my husband came up and saw it, however, he made the cat move!

After the air is all gone there was plenty of room in that side of the suitcase.

After the air is out.

On our way out the door at 3:30 Wednesday morning!

May you wing your way safely to Alaska and your new home! It’s unseasonably warm this morning at 4 am (41 F/5C) - a fact I’m not complaining about!

At the airport - goodbye quilt! (and my husband, of course! - that goes without saying!) Sorry the photo is a bit blurred!

So I came back from the airport and updated this post with these pictures and am heading to bed for a couple more hours!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!

Oh, and while it only takes about an hour + to fly to Kiev, Ukraine from here, it is going to take right about 24 hours to get to Anchorage.

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
