"Bear Paws in the Great outdoors" top finished

This quilt uses a pack that my sis has for sale in the store - a pack of fabrics that are called “The Great Outdoors” - and it is wonderful fabric!

The 1/2 yard pieces of fabric are all Riley Blake and if you are familiar with those fabrics, then you know they are wonderful to the touch.

Besides the pack, you will need some tan fabric, which I used a tone on tone print and some lighter cream - which I also used a tone on tone print.

The quilt ends up being a very nice full size - about 76”x 96".

I’ve wanted to make up the bear paw block and up until I made this this one, I hadn’t done that. I find it interesting looking and really nice in plaids. that’s why I used that piece as the center of that paw.

The two blocks in the middle part of the quilt are the bear paw block and a bordered 9 patch.

The pack of this fabric costs only $30 and you get 6 yards of high quality fabric! It’s here.

You will also need 1/2 yard of lighter cream for the stars and about 4 3/8 yards of background fabric - I used a tan tone on tone like this:

My sis has one that would work here

This is exactly the same fabric I used for my background. The star points were cream or off white. She appears to be out of the fabric I’ve linked to that is exactly the same - but she’ll probably get it in again, so if you are interested, just keep it in mind.

Look for the words tea stain or light tan - as you do want the background lighter than the fabrics which have a tan background.

The pattern will be on the free patterns page tomorrow.

Here is what the pack of fabric looks like! It’s a fantastic pack!

And that’s one of the things I’ve been up to lately!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
