The Beautiful Scenery of Central Asia

When we drove through Kyrgyzstan, we saw many beautiful sites.

If you are like I was, you don’t know much about this country.

It’s located close to China and is a former Soviet country - part of the USSR.

Some tourists go there but not a whole lot - not like Europe.

Kyrgyzstan is famous for its horses. They commonly ride them AND they eat horse meat as well.

In this country the train tracks are wider than you are used to. The USSR uses wider tracks than the rest of us do.

Geographically they have mountains, lakes, desert (like Nevada not the Sahara) areas, rivers, and valleys. It’s a beautiful country!

There are mountains on every side it seems.

There are several rivers in this country.

Muslim cemeteries look pretty elaborate.

The first few days we were there - the clouds were very interesting - lots of variety and shadows!

The mountains by the capital city of Bishkek - a pretty river.

The huge lake that is 200 km long and 40 km wide.

Out of the dung pile…in the pasture these flowers decided to “bloom” where they were!

In this country they eat sheep, beef, horses, chickens, etc. You name it, they eat it (except for pigs)! These animals also provide the source of energy for many things as they burn the manure.

I know it’s not quilting - but there were just some beautiful things I wanted you to see!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
