Happy "Fourth of July" and "blog comments" winners!
Happy Fourth of July!
Do we celebrate it here in Poland?
No, not particularly. Not anymore. Yes, we used to. Now we don’t. I suppose it makes us sound like disloyal Americans. We’re not. It’s just not a holiday here so we don’t. (We did - when our kids were home - at least minimally.)
But I like seeing all of the celebrations in the USA on this day.
However…
I am celebrating in my own little way by announcing the winners of the drawing from a week ago on the blog!
I asked people to comment by telling us when they became aware of the blog or the Quilted Twins website.
I promised more than one winner if we had over 100 comments and we did. We had 147., so I’ve chosen two numbers - well, rather, random.org chose two numbers
Our winners are:
#35
This winner is Susan who wrote this:
and #58
So, Susan AND Janelle - please send me an email me at customerservice@quiltedtwins.com with your mailing address and I can get your package of Polish folk design paper napkins, a yard of Polish folk design fabric and a reusable bag with a Polish folk design on its way to you! (Of course you can send me a private message on Facebook - Becky Tillman Petersen - actually I’d prefer that if you are on Facebook!)
Thanks for playing along!
In a nod to the American Fourth of July Independence Day holiday, I thought I’d share my Americana quilts I’ve made to date. I’ve not done many and the last two are stretching it a bit to call them Americana. But they are the right colors!
Americana Quilts
Americana Stars:
Simple 9 patch Patriotic
Stack ‘n Whack patriotic
Scrappy Meet Amish
Scrap Collage
Ok, so I’m pushing it a bit to include those last two - but they really could be taken as Americana if that is how a person wants to perceive it.
It just happens that a lot of countries in the world use red/white/blue as the flag colors! Lots of them! Twenty-eight in fact! At least that is what Google tells me!
I trust you have a great Fourth of July no matter where you live or what you are doing today!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
