The Wolf Quilt - set

One of the things I’ve been doing along with everything else lately is trying to go through and get rid of some things I don’t want in my home anymore. Either they just aren’t useful to use anymore, or I no longer am interested, or whatever.

PLUS, someone started a Facebook “Zero waste” group in Jozefow, our town. I’ve been haunting it, checking for things that people are needing that possibly I have and can pass on to them.

A lady come on to the group and asked for things that could be sold on auction for a sick kid who is about an hour from us - in another town.

It’s actually a Facebook group where they sell things on auction - and obviously anyone can join - it’s here if you are interested.

I responded to her note and said I suppose I had a few things. I found a few new things that could be auctioned off for the family of the teen who is severely disabled and even sent a charity quilt to him via that lady who comes to town every day to bring her daughter to school.

Anyway…I realized that I had this wolf quilt I had made out of a panel many years ago now. I really like it - but it was well before I had the stash I have now. Most of it is second-hand, but I think it still looks nice.

Because I made this one so long ago, I didn’t really have a nice picture of it hanging up like this. However, by the time I thought about it, it was pretty dark outside (3:45 pm) and very, very windy. But I like the picture anyway!

As I was checking to make sure I had some MORE of these wolf panels before I give this quilt away (I do), I noticed that I have a lot of wolf pillow panels - in my wildlife shelves.

The lady who I’m dealing with came to pick up all the other things I had, but I told her that if she could wait a few days, I could make a couple of pillows to go with it.

So I did. I also made a pillowcase. I did those three things - the pillows and pillowcase - after I bound three charity quilts today - and went shopping, and kind of slept in a few minutes longer than normal. It’s one of those things that’s been kind of “hanging over my head” The expression in Polish is “on my head”.

Here’s what the whole set looks like:

There you are!

I spent some time today cleaning up around my table, but have more to do - and want to dive back into my fourth and final - for - 2019 - fall colors quilt top - but haven’t yet -

AND

I’m working on cleaning up in my sewing room. I’ve got a mess by my sewing machine - need to corral it all and organize it. Plus, I have a cutting mat I want to replace - the one I have up here in my sewing room is old and needs replacing. I’m working on all of these things!

Just trying to feel a bit more organized.

I will continue to bind probably 2 or 3 charity quilts a day and still only show you 10 a week until all 120 are shown. From now on I’m hoping they can go on the back burner! Our electricity has two different prices - a cheap(er) time and a regular priced time. I am trying to wash these quilts ONLY during the cheap times. I’m also air drying them so it doesn’t cost anything to dry them - but does take time and space!

That’s the latest on my home front!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
