"Simple Coins" - Geometrics 15 finished

By the time I had gotten to this point in this simple series, I was about out of ideas for color schemes. So I decided to go with white.

This little quilt is only 49”x 71.5”. It’s a great lap size quilt.

It’s really quite a boring quilt in my opinion. I hope I can find someone who would like such a quilt.

I quilted this with simple straight lines.

Making a coin quilt is quite simple and this one was no exception. I tried to give it a little variety by putting a break in between the groups of coins and then starting another one. Oh yes. That’s called sashing.

I made a block of coins alternating with a white strip.

Then I sashed each group with a pretty wide sashing strip. I think it would be more effective with another color (instead of white) and a crazy wild fabric instead of the geometrics. I may try it with some other fabrics I have. Something bright and/or wild.
