Geometrics 13 - dark pink, gray, and black shadow quilt

I did it again. Yes I did. Two alike.

This is pretty much the last of the darker “warm gray” that I had purchased over 60 yards of a while ago. I didn’t really consider warm and cool grays until recently when I bought some other gray, thinking it might be quite similar to this one, but it is decidedly a cooler color. Maybe kind of hard to explain. I like it as well. In this case, however, I am quite sad to be using up the last of this gray. The quality was top notch and was a pleasure to use. It was from a Polish company named Kary located in Lodz, Poland.

This one is the better picture of the real colors of the top.

Here’s the layout - which is the same as the one I showed with the blues. You can look back on yesterday’s blog post for the block. It is the same one only I used pink.

I made the pink quilt top first and I liked it so much that I decided to make a blue one. Because I prefer the pink one, I showed you the blue one first. How‘s that?

I also prefer my pink pieced backing.

We’ll see how straight I can get it on when I sandwich it.

I pulled that black polka dots and the gray plaid from my stash along with the gray and pink floral.

The big pink, gray and black stars were in a recent purchase I got of scraps from another auction listing I bought not too long ago - all Polish fabrics. (I’m pretty much bashing myself for succumbing - so no need to beat me up for buying it - I’m doing a fine job of doing it to myself!)

Anyway - here you go. We are winding this series of tops down to a close.

I’m glad.

I’m sure you are as well.

I think these have been fun and quick and “not a little different” from the complexity of most of my “upcycled blues”.

All the rest of the details such as the block layout and such are on yesterday’s post. You can find it all there.

And that’s all I’ve got for you today!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
