Quilting Classes help to ease the stress in learning to quilt!

Classes. Sewing. Quilting.

Angst. Fear. Shame. Anxiety.

Our first day of our first class of students, along with their teacher, Sandi Schempp.

Sometimes if you say the first line, the second line of behaviors rears its ugly head.

We here at Quilted Twins want everyone to enjoy sewing and quilting. We want everyone to love what they do, and to be able to share their craft with others!

So, to combat the problems, we started a Beginning Quilting and Sewing Class.

Only four people registered for the first series of classes, and do have room for 10, but we’re about to begin round 2 of these 6 classes! So far, only two have signed up. We need more students!

Our next class starts on Saturday, Feb. 15! You have time to join us!

Donna stands behind her desk in this spacious classroom.

We have made a beautiful classroom for just such events. We need to get people in and to sign up. If you know of someone who could or might benefit from such a class, feel free to share this blog post with them. (They need to live within about an hour of us in order to be willing to make the drive each time.)

If you’ve never learned how to start a quilt, cut it out and sew it together, then sandwich it and finally quilt it, then you need to sign up for Sandi Schempp’s class. She takes 6 weeks to make it happen! From start to finish, you can have a finished lap quilt! Each class is 3.5 hours long and the nearly 20 hours of instruction are $125 with a $15 gift certificate from us here at Quilted Twins, for you to use at the store on future purchases.

The ladies learn to cut properly, to sew a ¼” seam with confidence and to get a quilt together! You’ll learn to quilt your own creation, so there’s no need for the extra expense of a long armer after you’re done with this lap sized creation.

I’m eager to see the quilts that are nearly done! It’s going to feel like I’ve been the nurse in the room when a new baby is born! We’ll keep you posted with “finished” projects as they come in.

Just call us at (352) 507-8458 to see about signing up!

Be sure to check out what we have for you in the store!
