Quilted Twins

"Little Things" continued

A couple of days ago I talked about a few little things. I really wasn’t finished but I thought I had enough of those small things to make a blog post. I don’t want to push your patience in reading this!

I purposely left this sitting on this Fiskars mat just to show you that this 2 TB flash drive is about 1.5” long.

After discussing how I set up my Upcycled Greens folder on the computer, I realized that I last backed up my My Named Quilts file a year ago now. It was past time to do it again. So we bought a little 2 TB flash drive and I’m working on that. It’s supposed to be fast, but it’s not - though my problem might actually be my memory on my computer. I’ve got about half of that file transferred on this little beauty. It cost about $50 for that much space. I was so surprised at the inexpensive memory!

Another thing I had mentioned before was back in March - on three different dates (10,20,30) I planted sugar peas. I might as well have waited til April to plant them. My March 10 plantings and the 30th are pretty much at the same stage of growth - both flowering. My March 20 mostly didn’t come up. I guess I didn’t get out there and water them enough. I just planted too early, though, it mostly boils down to - at least that’s my story!

Now that we are going to have a week of warm weather, my sugar peas may go ahead and grow like crazy and finish up quickly. We’ll see. Gardening here is such a gamble - one really never knows what the weather is going to be - so I like planting both warm weather loving and cooler weather plants. That way, hopefully, I will be happy no matter what happens.

Someone here on the blog post mentioned that they’d love to BUY one of those floral bags - that I gave away.

At the time I didn’t have very many and the extra ones I did have I wanted to either take back to use as hostess gifts or use myself.

However, it made me curious so I began searching on line for a place to get them as I had bought all the ones they had at my local source. I found a place that makes them/prints them, and so I ordered 100.

As such, next time we go back to the states, I will try to take as many as I can back over with me so my sis can sell them out of the store.

Otherwise, I may offer them for sale separately if this is something enough people are interested in. I would need to have $7 for each bag which would include shipping - $3.50 for the bag itself and $3.50 for mailing one bag. I could ship up to 2 or 3 for $5 so it’d be $12 for 2 and $15.50 for 3.

If a person wanted tracking, we could add that, but it would be extra. It’s something to think about. Otherwise, it’s a gamble, and I would not promise that the bag would get there. I could take pictures of me mailing it, but not replace them unless you had paid for tracking.

As far, as far as I know, people have gotten pretty much everything I’ve sent back (I think!) - except one church did not get an envelope of thank you notes. It had gotten eaten in the machine somewhere and the partial envelope was eventually returned to us months after we mailed it. I’m not going to even attempt to offer them, however, until I hear that people have gotten the prizes that I mailed on Friday. But I am curious if anyone would be interested in my mailing them directly from Poland.

But it doesn’t bother me if there isn’t a lot of interest - I have them and will eventually get them back to the states where Rachael can sell them in the store. Or of course I can always give them away as hostess gifts or to the various pastor’s wives we meet. Ladies simply love them!

They are just as pretty as ever!

And there you have the last of of the “little things” I’ve had on my mind to tell you!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
