Yes…I did finish it in time. It’s everything I had hoped it would be.

I quilted this with randomly spaced straight lines using the walking foot.

The sun was nice and bright on this day—at least when I took most of the pictures!

I’ve been trying to do a lot of piecing on these backings - well, as needed. I had these two pieces of duvet covers, but neither one was large enough for the backing by itself.

With this side shot you can see the various lines of quilting. I tried to make them as random as possible.

Here’s a good picture of how the block looks after it has been quilted. Here you can also see how the blue section of the block “floats” - this eliminates frustration for the average quilter. No need to cut off points!

This bright, sunny day was simply delightful!

The trees that I have in the yard are starting to become an issue when I do have a sunny day. Shade. I’ll need to get up earlier to get morning pictures. But the quilt is as beautiful in person as it appears here in the trees.
