Quilted Twins

I am so blessed! Swimming in goodies!

When I was a teenager, I remember sitting in a Sunday worship service and some young people sang a song where the words in part were, “If it keeps getting better and better, O Lord, I don’t know what I’m going to do!” I don’t remember the rest of the song, but that phrase has stuck with me for many, many years.

Well, that’s how I’m feeling about the generosity of some of the people in my life now!!

Look at what a wonderful Polish lady named Magda gave me not long ago!

I felt like it was Christmas when I received this lot! Wow!

Just look!

These bags of clothing were full of shirts - mostly. These looked luscious through the bags!

This box of mask leftovers is full of fabric. This photo was while it was still in the back of the car.

Then I took it all home and laid it out. Those bags of shirts were so tempting. And to think that a quilter had hand-picked them up just for me!

Let me show you. I separated them out by color. These are wonderful!

Did you notice a pattern here? LOLOL Yep. Blue!!! Lots and lots!

Then, that box of mask leftovers. Let me show you what was in there! How great are there?

There were also a few more misc. pieces but I didn’t photograph them as they were “dibs and dabs” as I think the Brits call it.

At first I thought with these mask pieces…hmm…What can I do? I thought of cutting squares from them but thought I’d lose a lot of the fabric to scraps if I did that.

Then I went to check out what Sizzix dies I have that might work. Guess what I found?

These make a 4” finished piece like this.

This is ONE of the quilts I hope to make from these! I have plenty of black pieces and plenty of white. Wouldn’t it be a great quilt to donate for a charity outreach where they are helping sick kids? I think this is one that I want to do!

So, this is my plan - I’ll cut the pieces I have from the mask pieces I have - and see what beauties I can make. I’ll probably add other fabrics as well, as I’m not really excited about the idea of a triangles quilt made entirely of the few solids I have here.

Then last, but certainly not least, look at what she made me - for my rotary cutters??

How delicious! The colors and workmanship are fantastic and I appreciate it so much!

Everything about it is precise. She is a pro! Thanks for reading here, Magda! I appreciate your support!

And that’s what I wanted to share with you from my recent “goodies” - given to me! I’m very grateful!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
