Anther Day of Wrapping and Shopping

I went to Lidl this morning and bought groceries and chemical supplies and personal cleaning supplies for that last family.

Then I came home and put dinner on the table. I also went to the package place to pick up another group of packages.

In the afternoon I went out looking for gloves for the man in family 6 (the farm). While I was out my gold decorative boxes arrived! Yeah! I needed those to pack up the food I had just bought. So, I did that.

I had asked my husband to find a table and chairs for this last family. They wanted a small one. My husband had written someone who was selling a used set. After a lot of unanswered telephone calls or unanswered texts, he found a local person who was selling a small one with four nice chairs. He made an appointment to go see it at 6:30 pm.

After I put the boxes together, which is a sort of origami - I filled them with that food.

This week Lidl has the kielbasa - which is dried - at a good price. It is kept in the store on a shelf- not in the refrigerator.

I did put some dried kielbasa and cheese that is wrapped in this red plastic in the last two families.

Then we went to check out the table.

We bought it. It is really nice and I’m delighted we were able to get it! It was dark before we went, so of course, in the back of the pickup it was a bit dark.

Then I came back and wrapped up a few more other small presents and finished writing the cards that will go in each of the gifts. I then stuck them in each family’s presents. There are 7 families, so I did this 7 times - several this morning and the rest this evening.

The OTHER table that we bought for the big family is this one - it is stored in my husband’s garage area.

The cards I bought were all different - they are hand made and very well done. I signed the cards and then included this letter with each card. I put one in each family’s box - somewhere.

I didn’t always remember to take photos but I’m trying to remember to take pictures.

One thing we have to do is label each box with the number of the family. This is their number…and before I can be done with each family, all the boxes have to be numbered.

Here are the sheets. I tend to write all over them! :) They usually get well studied as well.

I’m now just looking for and shopping for the last presents to round out the gifts for each family. I am way ahead of where I was last year and very happy about that. Ewa is planning on coming over on Friday to help me do what I need to do with that last family’s presents. The huge family of ten is not getting a lot of individual presents - but they are getting a lot of group presents - games, all the appliances, etc. Individually they are getting less, but with ten people, there will be a lot wrapping. (I haven’t started wrapping that one yet.)

I’ll try to get some better pictures of the table for you - in the daylight.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Thanks for coming along with me on my quilting/sewing journey!
