I thought it was time for me to show you what you bought this family - which is a grandma with her two granddaughters for Christmas.

We did not go to their place and I’ve not gotten any pictures from the volunteer. Since people were all so exhausted, I didn’t want to bug her, but when I get them, I’ll add them to the bottom of another post. I may not get any. And that’s okay, really. I hate to invade people’s privacy for the sake of photos. I can use my imagination as to how they were received.

But I can show you what I did.

Here is what their piles look like.

The girls really wanted puffs - or we would call them bean bag chairs. I ordered them both on our local auction site and the second one - the one that is made like a soccer ball - was made to order as it took almost a month to get here. The girls wanted a pink one and a soccer one. They were HUGE. Obviously once they get sat in, they scrunch down.

Here is a little closer look at their presents. They got shoes (think hiking boots), one girl got some clothes, the other one I gave about $50 in gift certificates, the textiles which includes a quilt for each, a new pillow for each, new towels, duvets and duvet covers. I added some candy and some board games, and jigsaw puzzles for the girls. The girls wanted purses for their personal gifts and the grandma wanted a cosmetics and the volunteer said that they could also use a mixer and pots and pans as well. I also gave the grandma some body spray and a beautiful quilt (made by one of you!). Then, we gave them a computer/monitor and a tablet as they didn’t have one. The girls were using borrowed tablets.

Plus, they had boxes of food and cleaning supplies.

Oh, I did get the volunteer to tell me which game they wanted as I didn’t want to duplicate with what they might want. This is the second year in a row someone has said Monopoly. :)

I didn’t have a good feel (meaning I didn’t really get emotionally involved with them on paper :) when I bought their presents for some reason) for the family itself, but in spite of that, I feel like we did very well for them. Thank you again for all you gave!

Once we got all the packages to the school building, we were able to put there here.

We also gave them 2 tons of coal - here is what that looks like! This will help them stay warm all winter.

So there you are! That’s what we did for them! I wrapped these presents by myself one evening - and completely forgot to take pictures of wrapping.
