We had him for almost 16 years.

Today we said goodbye.

Here are a few pictures of him through the years. He loved batting and all things related to quilts his entire life.

I know if you aren’t a cat lover or a pet lover at all, this post seems silly. Check back tomorrow.

If you have had a cat as long as we have had Skaggy - then you understand. Because of the proximity of our house to a major road on one side and the woods on the other, most of our cats have not lived very long - maybe 5-6 years maximum.

Like all cats around the world, it seems, he loved boxes, fabric, and sandwiched quilts - as well as freshly washed anything!

So…today…let me grieve just a little.
