I Made an Apron Pack!

My brother in law thought that making up one of the Apron Packs that we have for sale - or have had, would be a good idea as a gift for the doctor who has been helping us with mom. He’s stopped by the house several times.

He attended Auburn University, so that is the set I made up.

This is the University of Georgia one.

The kit gives you enough fabric for the things needed, but let me tell you, it is JUST enough. You have to lay things out thoughtfully.

As for the apron - well, I had enough fabric for that without any real problems.

My biggest problem was going back to using a pattern. I ended up removing the pattern for the edges of the apron and using my ruler and rotary cutter in order to get a nice straight edge on the apron.

And as for the apron ties and band around the neck, I just measured the paper and cut my pieces with the rotary cutter - not using the paper pattern at all.

Here is the finished project.

Some ‘in process” photos.

And as much as I do like the Babylock I’ve been using, I am still not connected with it like I am my machines back home in Poland. I really do like the small presser foot on it, though - love it, in fact.

But this post isn’t about that. This post is about showing you the quick present - because I did it just a couple of hours from start to finish. I hope the doc likes it!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
