"Beaded Lanterns" - a quilt made in Kaffe Collective blues, greens, and purples

As you know, or maybe don’t know, my sis really wanted us to start to offer some more kits than we have in the past. This time while I’ve been here, one of the things I’ve been doing is to be here, at mom’s working on making some quilts that can be make into kits for Rachael to make up and sell.

When I came across Christa Watson’s free pattern on the Benartex website, I fell in love. I have the whole store at my disposal, why not make THIS pattern in Kaffe Fassett fabrics? Why not? No reason.

I did.

Christa graciously has made the pattern free and encourages shop owners to use it in kits! So we decided to just “go for it” and see if others like it as much as we do.

So, here it is!

Everyone who sees this quilt kind of catches his/her breath and says, “Oh!” It is truly beautiful!

I’m not sure if Christa will see this, but I wanted to take a moment and say “Thanks” for giving to the quilting community such a fun pattern that lets us feature such fabrics!

Florida has been getting a lot of rain lately, so, and the grass gets long within a week of mowing these days! However, these quilts are hanging on a motor hoist that my dad had. I had asked my husband to hang a clean line there so I could put up my quilts without worrying about a place. It is kind of small so I am in a quandary as to where to put my bigger quilts I’ve made (so far, only 2). I’m still thinking - I still have plenty of other quilts to photograph before I have to worry about those.

If you like this quilt, we have made it available as a quilt kit. You can get it here!

We are excited to be able to offer it and hope that you like it as well!

This quilt was long arm quilted by a local couple that shops at the Quilted Twins store. If you are local and need one, just contact us and we can recommend people in your area.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
