Rachael's got me working! Sunny Fields

The panel

First of all - before I continue - I will update about mom tomorrow - check back on that.

When I got to Florida, Rachael cornered me and told me she was hoping if I had time while here at the house with mom, to come up with some ideas for the panels.

She said she has many people who need help with ideas on how to use panels and make them into quilts.

She was hoping I would be able to start with this one - called Sunny Fields.

This is how she stores panels so people can find them in the store.

She got all the coordinating fabrics that go with it - and boy, when Rachael does something - she does it up right!

After discussing which fabrics to use, this is the quilt we ended up with. I actually got this one together while we were waiting for mom to get out of the hospital and while I was suffering from serious jet lag.

Mom’s living room doesn’t have much empty space!

We got a local long-armer to quilt it for us!

Here is the final quilt on a metal hoist my dad had outside. My husband rigged up a fresh, clean wire for me to clip quilts to.

Rachael is offering this as a kit - as we’d love to move along these beautiful florals. The ensuing lap quilt is quite pretty! I hope that some of you want to make one. The pattern will be included with the kit.

Its a nice lap size quilt!

And of course, I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the quilt roll!

The long armers used some butterflies in the quilting - so cute!

I hope some of you - many of you want this beautiful floral lap quilt! It is very easy to make - and the pattern, because it is not traditional blocks, is quite easy to make.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
