Quilted Twins

More GIFTS!! Am Blessed...again

I recently got three more gifts. Let me share.

First of all, in our local freecycle group

A lady advertised a pile of shirts - and they looked so nice - I just couldn’t resister and I told her I’d like them. I was first and she said, “Sure.” It turned out that she lives about 1 minute by car from our house. Sweet.

Here are those shirts. Two of them were greens.

I needed to get the photos as I want to go ahead and put the green shirts into use - along with one of the blues - on a top I’m making. Don’t worry. Two more cut up shirts won’t affect my boxes. I’m doing well on emptying them out by now.

Secondly,

Magda came to my house to get a quilt that she won from an auction before Christmas for local sick kids. She came with gifts. She first asked me if I wanted some fabric - second-hand

Is that question even necessary? LOL

Here’s what she gave me.

Thirdly-

I got a message from one of the local post office workers and she told me I had a box waiting for me at the post office. I went by and picked it up - it was another one from Fran.

Here is what I got in that box! Several big tops and some small ones and two pieces of fabric and a few small strips.

Big tops: These will make the doubles or queen size ones I like to make and that often go quite fast in our give away. Last year I had 52+ to give away and gave all but 5 away that day. They are all given away now. :)

Small ones which will make the single size I like to make (I am for 60x80).

A piece of fabric and a couple of strips -

And then this last one which was enclosed in a plastic bag with a note - (shown above in the big quilts) - this is a close up of what was in the bag along with the note.

Is it any wonder I feel blessed? How could I not? I’m trying to give away things and I keep GETTING things! I’ll just have to give away faster!
