Garden Update

We’ve had quite a variety of weather lately and my garden has now done well with the heat we are currently experiencing.

Let me show you some photos.

I have some zucchini

This first plant that I have is about to produce the first zucchini - can’t wait! I am unsure how many are on this plant, but it is between 10 and 15 and I’ve never had anything like that before. I will try to keep fertilizing it. My plants normally give me one zucchini a week - that’s how bad my soil is.

Some sugar peas -

My harvest will be infinitesimal, but they are as expensive as meat around here (by the lb.) so I’ll take whatever I can get.

Some pumpkins

I’ve seen some pumpkins starting to be formed. As we are having a warm spell, I am going to make sure I keep up with the watering. I’m going to have several different shapes and sizes including a few miniature ones.

Several rows of corn

I planted corn in two different sections - one has 4 rows, and one has 3 rows. The pumpkins are starting to intermingle with the corn.

And sunflowers

I planted only decorative sunflowers with different colors other than the ordinary ones and the variety of sizes is interesting. I’ll be curious how they look. None of them will be overly tall.

So the garden is coming along. I’m trying to keep up with it all - but we’ll see. The pumpkins forming are the most exciting thing!
