Quilted Twins

"Spools 'n Stitches" - finally!!!

A bed (bunk bed for 3 - bottom bunk is larger) - plus bedding and mattresses, and groceries to a refugee and her kids not too far from us

I know you’ve been wanting this one to be done for some time now!

I was glad to get this one finished!

I did use a variety of whites, off whites and slightly creams on this. I also had a problem with one of the greens as bleeding - yes, in spite of this being made from second-hand fabrics. I know what fabric it is - as I’ve struggled everywhere I’ve used it. I SHOULD have tossed it! Uggh. I am not rewashing it now, though - so maybe in the future as it gets washed more, the green dye will fade.

I tried to keep those swirls big and flowy. It is not that easy to quilt on the domestic with this size of quilting motions.

I loved how you can see the quilting as it was lying on the table. The light was just perfect for seeing it.

Sometimes I don’t want the quilting to take over - and it could look like this - but if you look at the one on the line, it doesn’t really do that.

It really provided an interesting texture to the quilt.

I did get it written up.. The free pattern is here. Check it out. I know at least a couple of you were waiting for this pattern. I hope you have time to make it now! :)

I hope you’ve enjoyed the photos. I really have enjoyed how this one turned out!

So…now, once again - here is the series from start to finish - I’m enjoying seeing them go up and down as I get them finished.

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!

Here’s one of the beauties we have!
