Update on My Husband's Back/Leg

Mike went back to the physical therapist on Wednesday. He took the xray that he had had done the week before. The therapist looked at it and said that they weren’t actually as bad as all that and that he’s seen a lot worse. ;)

But he then worked on my husband for about 45 min - a massage - but not really much else,. He told him that he probably wouldn’t need to come back - just to take it easy and if his body hurts - that is a sign to not do that thing - whatever is causing the pain.

Surprisingly, then on Thursday (which was yesterday) my husband told me that he felt better than any day since it happened. I asked him to please not do too much. He went pretty much all day without pain. He did more than I thought he should. But you know how it is when wives tell husbands not to do to much!

Then today he decided to go ahead and bring in 3 of those boxes that FedEx sent and we got today - each weighing about 100 lbs. He is using a hand truck. Normally I’ve been doing the person coming up the stairs first and he just helps bring up the rear so to speak.

I was working with the ladies in putting together some packets of quilts, so he decided to bring them into the house/porch area - up the stairs. Grrr. Now he hurts again - but he insists that it isn’t as bad as before. Let’s hope not.

Anyway, those of you who are praying, please keep doing so. He has been so frustrated by not being able to do things. We have a load we are planning on sending to Ukraine on Tuesday, including a LOT of quilts, so he really needs to feel better. At least it would be helpful. That’s because he is the slated driver!

Anyway…that’s his update. I know health issues don’t necessarily make wonderful blog posts, but in our case, it really is important to what is happening around here.

I’ve gotten some packages - will update soon about that. I have some more boxes that won the ‘customs/post office lottery’ and were delivered directly to me. Others I’m still waiting on.

Albina asked me to make her a blue and yellow hair ribbon the length and size of this piece of sheeting but like this - I think I did okay. Maybe the blue/yellow is a tad bit longer than her sample. I didn’t know what I was doing - and am actually terrible at envisioning how to do such a thing. But I figured it out

Have a great day wherever you are reading!
