2022 Charity Quilts #71-80
Here are the next 10. I guess I’d best put the pedal to the metal!
It’s December!
Many of you know that I am trying to finish 120 charity quilts this year as I’ve done for the last few years. With all the help I’ve gotten from you all, I really have no excuse.
So, just so you aren’t worrying about me - I actually have all the rest of the necessary ones quilted - and just need to get them all washed, dried and photographed. That’s all! :)
I’m trying to get them all finished in the next few days - but it does take a while to wash them as I do wash them individually.
Here are the next ten.
This is variety of the ones that I’ve got.
But to summarize about the variety you ‘ll be seeing in the next 50 charity quilts -
some from the browns from our trip in 2017 to get leftovers from a shop that was selling out of their men’s pant and suit fabrics - and I’m just now getting around to quilting those tops. I have used up the browns - but have the blacks still to use. Once I get most of these browns quilted, I’ll get going on the blacks. I’ve been trying to pass some of the black fabric along - to a friend to use for clothing as it is such nice, classic fabric (and expensive)! It’s almost a shame to use it for quilts when it is far more expensive fabric than say, a simple black all cotton fabric which works fine for quilts.
some are some of the crazy types - all just various pieces left from other quilts (from Ewa), and
a couple of Fran’s tops and
some of Ewa’s mom’s tops and
some from you all. I’m trying to get them all done!
Below is a photo of our yard at about 3pm in December.
Thank you so much for all of you who have given to these charity quilts. I feel like I say that often, but I need to say it often as I’ve gotten so much help from so many of you all!
I get a lot of the thanks on this end, so I’m trying to pass that along as often as I can to you all who have helped me.
Thanks again for coming along with me! Have a great day wherever you are reading!
