Quilted Twins

That Backing - remember?

Well, I did finish it. The backing looks like this.

I can’t say it’s my greatest creation, but it’s done.

And that’s something, right? My biggest concern was that it was flat.

It’s really too big for the floor right now. I’m got some more things to move on out - hopefully to Ukraine most of it. Some of it is for local people but I’ve been waiting til they finish our road - as it is making it very, very hard for people to come over to get things.

Right now our driveway is completely dug out as they are working on the sidewalk. it’s a good thing my husband actually made an alternate gate for our yard so we can get in and out even if it’s not super convenient.

(I have batting scraps, for example. I also have some ribbon pieces that are leftover from our packing those quilt bundles. They had bound up some blankets that were packed away. - these are for giving away)

Here is what I started with -

And you can see how this little thing was dwarfed by all the rest.

So I’m glad I did this. While I would have preferred to make this a really cute backing - I also wanted to just make it as if I didn’t care - and just get it done and be able to move on.

I will bind in brown or something dark when it’s all finished.

That backing is for this top.

While I’m sure you weren’t holding your breath as to what I did - I did want to finish that “rest of the story” for you here.
