Ten MORE charity tops!

So now that I’ve slowed down a bit on showing you the charity tops, that does not mean I’ve not been working on them behind the scenes, though maybe not quite a fiercely as before. “Before” it was a matter of space in my sewing room - and a necessity to work on them to let me have room to work. Now, it will be a wonderful thing to have the ones I’ve cut all the borders for done, but I can function in there now. I’m aiming for one or two a day (finishing borders on tops). This means I can finish up my bags of tops maybe in a month - or two, if I just keep pecking away at the job.

Anyway, here are the next ten I did. Make sure you click on the arrows to move to the next quilt top. I’m sorry they look so wrinkly - but my space was very limited here so I couldn’t easily spread them out like I wanted to. I need to move out my puzzle table! Eight of the ten here are large - and all are ones that Fran made the centers.

After a while, I know that all of these blog posts look very similar. But today I ran upstairs (actually this was on Sunday that I added this) to the room where they are stored and in addition to the tubs that have tops in them, I have about 10 of those large bags currently store up there.

And here is how a bags of tops that I’ve taken to the church look- I have already about 150 tops in the long arm room, so no more room for any more down there until I do the ones I have. So, I will store these in the room at church where I put my finished quilts. There is room. Getting them moved out my house is necessary right now.

So there you go - the next 10.

Before you know it, you should start seeing finished quilts - hanging out on the line. I am finally OUT (well, almost) of my labels, so I’ll have to spend some time running the embroidery machine in order to make more. I may have about 10 or 12 ready to go at the moment I made so many back in 2020 - but am finally just about out!

Last time I made a lot of labels was in 2020 just after I got over having COVID and was too weak to do much else other than watch my embroidery machine work. At that time my goal was to use up a whole bundle of rayon embroidery thread someone gave me. I managed to use up all of that thread to make up the over 200 labels I made. It’s about time for me to get ready to make another batch.

This is what I had in 2020 when I made all those labels. That means that I’ve used them all up now except for the few in the one tub shown to the left.

This time I made the photo collage out of only 6 of the tops! :)

I know this only shows 6 and not all 10 but that’s because I’ve made so many that show the same template I decided to mix up a bit.

Here is the pile of bags that I took to the church to put in my upstairs storage room. Just did this a few days ago now. :) I had to make room for myself and just couldn’t keep them in either my sewing room or my long arm room. I don’t want them in my living room.

If the bag has “not ready” that means simply that I’ve not measured them or dealt with them if they need borders.

For a while now I’m not going to add to any more quilt tops I get until I get more done of the ones I have. I’ve mentioned that before.

Once again - thanks so much for coming along with me on my journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
