The other day I was quilting in the basement and Mike came in and said something about “more charity tops”. I actually didn’t know what he was talking about specifically, but I just nodded. When I’m in the zone with quilting, I’m really not into chatting all that much.

Then finally I came upstairs with my quilts, and lo and behold, another box from Fran was right there!

“Oh - so that’s what he was talking about!” I muttered to myself when I saw it.

Thank you once again, Fran!

She is such a workhorse! Honestly, she keeps me busy. However, I don’t think she doesn’t read much on the internet. :)

But thankfully I’ve been working hard on those quilt tops that were congesting up my long arm room.

Now, I’ve gone through the various bags I had stacked under the long arm itself AND the green tub has been raided almost empty. By that I mean, they are now quilted and instead of being in the long arm room, they are lying in the living room.

I may have to go to the room at church this week to bring tops back from that room so I can quilt them. However, I’m not sure.

I will need 21 quilt tops this week and I may still have that many in the long-arm room - charity tops. I believe I have that many without going down there to count. In that case, I won’t bring them back from the building until next Sunday. As I empty out my shelves, I want to put ‘my’ other tops in the shelves and save the green tub for the charity tops - but no more than that at a time. I can leave the tops upstairs at the church building and not plug up the whole long arm room with excess tops. I didn’t like that feeling.

Anyway, I do so appreciate Fran. Her eyesight has been getting worse, so every box I get, I always think it is possible that it might be the last one.

I am so thankful for all that she given to the people of Poland!

Fran must be in her mid-upper 70s by now. I’m not really sure. But she is an example of someone with a servant’s heart - which in my world, is a good thing.

I also learned from her to take pictures of things I do. I saw how she had little photo album after photo album filled with a single photo of each top she has sent me. I thought that was such a great idea because they do represent a lot of work and it is good to have a record!

Anyway, in this wonderful box of goodies were 5 medium tops, 8 small and 6 large ones.

Once again, I have packed them up to go to the church building upstairs where they can wait, completely out of the way until I am ready to get to them.

Mike and some of the men are working on the stairs and entrance to the church building so while we do have a back door, it’s a good time for me NOT to need to get into the building until it is finished.
