The Fair is over for the year!
Rachael and Ken made it through the week.
They finished up the week making lots of cookies and offering them to local people who came to visit Collura Cottage.
Then, there were a couple of interesting things I saw. I had NEVER seen a “Bloomin’ Onion”. Enormous!
Even with three of us eating it, we couldn’t finish it.
We tried the donut burger. Take my suggestion - SKIP IT!
It has a Krispy Kreme donut along with a burger. Everything by itself would have been - but together, not good. DO NOT DO it. Get a regular burger and pretend you did this. I wanted to do it once in my life - but honestly, a single bite would have been enough.
Then this big guy came walking into Collura Cottage.
So you can see that the fair isn’t all work. There is some fun involved as well!
But we are happy enough to bid it goodbye for 2023 and move on.

Wait…
Did we tell you that we were on the news again? I didn’t see it but apparently on Friday night and again on Saturday we were. They came and interviewed us on Friday afternoon about the Ukraine quilt effort. It was very sweet! I think the blurb was only about 1:30 long. We have several customers who came in on Saturday who said they saw it. No, I’ve not seen it. It was the 1 year anniversary of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine - and they wanted to run it that day. It was on Fox News - Tampa edition.
