"Granny Square Folk"

This quilt is not part of my Upcycled Greens, or Blues or Pinks…but rather, the 2.5” series!

And once again - those granny squares got to me. I really like this one! Seriously.

What am I going to do? I have so many quilts that I like - a lot - and have no more room for them.

I named this one Granny Square Folk because of the little folk-like flowers that came into being by the sashing and corner parts of the main block.

I was trying to use bright pastels and blues - to create a really fun effect.

I did have to trim off the edges of the blocks - so I will make up an extra top. I have all the pieces together in a bag and hope to put it together soon. I could call this a “bonus top”. :)

The colors of this one just make me want to smile. I like them.

A lot of colors - I was looking for strips that were bright pastels, pinks, and blues.

A distant shot. The free pattern is finished and it is here! I hope someone finds it helpful.

The colors in this quilt are my favorites! However, a granny square almost always looks nice! Seriously. I’ve done them now in various color schemes, and they have all looked good to me. Let’s see - burgundy/browns, greens, purple/greens, and these bright pastels.

I did have to trim blocks in half for the side setting triangles.

And that’s it for today! Have a great day wherever you are reading. Thanks so much for coming along on this journey with me!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
