Quilted Twins

Two more Boxes arrived!

I received another box from Fran - yes, I did! She is ahead of me big time, as you all know, but I’m feeling a little less overwhelmed now that I’m making progress on my own quilt tops which I’ve had for some time. In fact, recently I’ve just finished a couple that are over 10 years old! Yes, for real.

A few of them I decided to just move on over to charity quilts - as I can’t think of any person I want to give them to, nor do they meet my standards now.

I’ve learned a few things in the intervening years since I started making tops like this 10+ years ago. It’s not that there is anything wrong with the ones I have decided to move to charity quilts - but it’s that I see the issues and I know that someone who needs to be kept warm will appreciate them. Especially since I do make the backings wonderful - as you’ve seen!

OK - so why did I get off on that little rant? I don’t know. Let’s get back to the post.

But here’s the box from Fran!

She does pay a pretty penny to get it to me - but let me tell you - this one was FULL of goodies! Let me show you!

These were hash marks made by Fran on the inside of the box lid!

But now for the contents.

Here are the smaller tops - lots of them!

18 small tops

Then here are the two medium sized tops plus some misc. blocks.

Finally here are some tops that had their backings attached. That is pretty cool that anyone would be so considerate!

I will admit that those are some amazing zipper bags as well! :) I definitely use these until they get holes in them!

All together there were 23 tops in this box plus the backings, which apparently are packed in the zipper bags. I didn’t really open them but kept them together until I get ready to do something with them.

Everything fit into this one bag! :)

Then, I received a box from a lady named Andrea here in Europe! It is a box with a quilt for a Ukrainian couple - plus a couple of bonus pillow cases that match! it is such a pretty set! Let me show you.

It’s so pretty and soft! I’m thinking of going to the store and getting two inserts for the pillowcases. I think before the end of February is up, my husband is going to head to Ukraine, so I may send this set with him then. We’ll see how that works out!

It’s so pretty, soft, and comforting. I’m sure whoever gets it will love it! Thank you so much, Andrea. I hope you see this!

And thank YOU so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
