"Scrappy Islands"
This one-block rather large quilt is finished!
I named it Scrappy Islands. I hope the name makes sense. It does to me.
You can see that I used a pieced backing here in the photo above because of the way you can see through the lighter fabrics. when it was hanging on the line with the sun shining behind it.
I did struggle with the wind the day I was taking these photos, but I did the best I could.
As I mentioned when I shared the top, it’s a quick one to make because it is based on only one block. The key is to make all the blocks with the colorful pieces in the same place in the block.
I may try this one again but with blocks that are half the size. I have plenty of 1.5” strips that I could use. This way the finished blocks would only be 4” instead of 8”. Hmm.
I did update the pattern with a new picture and reuploaded it back to the website. It can be found here if you need it. The one I made here was made with ALL 2.5”x4.5” cut pieces.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on my journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
