Seasonal Quilts - Yes? or No?

Do you make seasonal quilts?

Just wondering.

The big season for decorating seems to be

Christmas!

Have you made a Christmas quilt?

This is my loan Christmas quilt I’ve made!

If so, how many?

If not - do you make quilted Christmas items?

Then, Valentine’s Day.

Anyone make Valentine’s quilts (specifically)?

While these two quilts are NOT Valentine specific quilts, obviously they feature hearts!

If not, do you make other things with hearts?

Then St. Patrick’s Day or Easter

Do you make anything to do with spring quilts?

I haven’t made any quilts with Easter baskets or anything like that, though I did make a Cross quilt - I’ve made a couple of those, in fact - so that they connect to Easter, but I didn’t make them for Easter at all, but really just because the Cross is an important symbol for the average Christian.

What about other things - if so, what kinds of things do you like to make?

Then - patriotic/Memorial Day, Fourth of July, etc.

Do you make patriotic quilts?

if not - do you make ANYTHING related to Americana/Canadianama?

What about Halloween?

Do you make quilts relating to that theme? or anything for the house, etc?

How about a general Fall or Thanksgiving theme?

I’ve found that fall is the season I absolutely love making quilts for!!!

If you could do something different, what advice would you give to a younger person who might be interested in decorating seasonally?

I have made a few seasonal quilts, but not that many. :)

My youngest son is married to a young lady who has told me she wants to start decorating her house seasonally. :)

I used to as well, sans quilts. Then life happened, the kids grew up and left home and I finally gave away all my seasonal decorations - figuring I was just trying to keep the house sort of straightened up without the added work of decorating.

So I’m curious.

Tell me your thoughts about seasonal quilts - do you like making them or do you find they involve too much work for the time that they are used!

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
