A Couple of Hearts have been Reported in Florida!
Yes, some of my hearts have been reported here in Dade City.
How cool is that?
While it certainly isn’t necessary to get feedback about hearts, when you do hear, you know it really did mean something to the finder.
Let me show you.
This first one was a Christmas one. I had gone out on December 24 and put a bunch of hearts around here. I had procrastinated because Christmas was almost upon us and I had a bunch more to put out so I just told myself, “Just go and put them out in parks!”
So…this is the heart the lady found.
And here is what she said about it.
And the next one reported was this one - not a Christmas one so I’m not sure when she actually found it. I’ve not been putting anything out lately as we’ve been facing some unexpected rainy weather around here.
And this one was found near our store.
It’s cool that someone got it and reported it. I’m not sure when all this happened since, as I said before, we’ve not been putting any out lately due to the weather. I like how she said she wanted to make some when she got back home!
I left a bag of them at the store for anyone to hang on the bushes so I’m not absolutely positive if I put it out or Rachael or someone else in the store. :) None of those are Christmas.
I’m trying to be observant here in Dade City and see where there are places to hang them. It’s a little tougher in this area as there seem to be fewer bushes by businesses, etc. So, I just need to be more aware! I spotted a good place this past week that needs a heart. I’ll have to try to make some more and get them out.
Then last September someone found one here in Dade City but I’m not sure when she found it. Maybe August?
It almost seems cheating to put them out the shop vicinity because there are so many bushes in front of our store. Also some people who shop here know that I put them out. But I try to do it so randomly that no one would be able to plan for it! I don’t think this person knows I do it. :)
Anyway, today I spent the day preparing by making some kits and parts of kits. Now that I am home after celebrating my brother’s birthday at a restaurant, I can do some sewing!
And that is it.
Rachael and Ken have been off at a Quilt Show that I know will be fun to show you - but that, hopefully, will be next week.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
