These Lori Holt quilts involve quite a few small pieces.

Some people have given me a hard time for making quilts with small pieces.

That’s a joke compared to some of these.

These apple blocks use some 1” square piece! Yes they do! Now what I’m showing you doesn’t actually show them yet as I’ve not used them on the blocks to this point. The apple quilt is another quilt that’s in the Quilty Fun book by Lori Holt. Right now I’m just working on the apples.

Also…I made trees and star blocks to go with my Neighborhood quilt that is part of the Quilty Fun book that I have.

I am ready to put this top together, but haven’t done that yet.

I also have made a tiny bit of progress on this quilt block. Take a look

This is block one of HomeTown quilt or the Flag House. Next I’ll do the one called Cherry House.

I’ve made several more of these blocks. I need 22. For now I’ll just store them until I get the middle of this top made which will come later…after I get what is needed.

Once again, at this point I do not have the Autumn line of fabrics (yet), so I’ve just been using what I have in these approximate colors.

I have made plenty of autumn colored quilts so I’m familiar with what colors work for them. I want to make this one - AND also want to make the one called The Quilted Scarecrow which looks like this one shown below:

But the two scarecrow quilts will be ‘in the future’ as I don’t have the patterns yet.

And that’s all of these “this and that’s” of these Lori Holt quilts I’m working on.
