I Give Up

Focusing on anything is impossible. Hurricane Milton should have hit Florida by the time you read this.

All day Wednesday it’s been raining off and on in Florida.

There are tornado warnings all over the central part of Florida - a little south of Dade City, at this moment of writing, but nonetheless, serious indeed. Before I finished writing this, I saw a tornado warning for Dade City and Zephyrhills.

Our whole family is watching - well, maybe not the whole family - but my brother up in SC and a different brother’s wife also in SC and us here in Poland as well as the people there in Dade City including my sis and her husband and our kids in FL - are watching all the information on this hurricane.

I have a blog post mostly written for tomorrow, but it simply seems wrong to just ignore the fact that Milton is heading straight for Florida with the outer bands dropping lots of rain on Dade City. It’s really hard to focus on anything!

Mom is there and alone, at 92. Hopefully Rachael can go and stay with her so she won’t be alone through the night.

Tornados, rain, wind - it’s all rather drastic and capable of causing much damage to property, but most important, life.

We know our customers from Florida come from all these areas taht are being affected. It’s not just MY family - it’s a lot of families and people we know!

Rachael sent a couple of videos early in the day on Wed. as she began to work on the last minute things. Here’s one.

While Helene didn’t do too much to central Florida, it appears that this one will be massive and affect it immensely.

Rachael has been tracking it.

So, while it’s getting late here in Poland, I’ll get ready for bed and probably get up in the morning before the storm actually hits the coast of Florida.

Lots of tornadoes are all over! It’s awful. I hope those in cars can get safely home!

Generally people in Florida do not have basements, but hopefully many have safe places!

I guess once people get up on Thursday morning, we will all know what damage the storm has done. We are trusting in the Lord, but trying to be aware and careful as well!

During this time, we remember this verse:

Psalm 56:3

When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you.

I will catch back up with you a different day. For now this is all I can muster.

Thanks so much for coming along with me/us on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
