This past Friday Ken and I were able to go up to Lake Yale and do a Pop up for the Feather Princess Applique guild. They are one of the few applique guilds in the United States, if not the world!

Below is shown one of the projects that one of the ladies was going to start working on.

The ladies welcomed us warmly.

When we go to these, we get help from the rest of the Quilted Twins team to pack up what we need early in the day. Generally speaking, the day before for 1 or 2 hours, we have gathered all the needed things into various colored tubs. Then, early in the morning we load up the van, try not to forget our heavy duty cart, and then we head out to the desired location.

When we get to the location, then we spread out our goodies for the ladies and gentlemen to enjoy and eventually purchase.

Usually, the host allows the ladies to come and shop for about one hour while some stay and sew. Others come and shop. Usually we get a lunch, and then when the ladies have had a second thought and come back and shop some more. After that we gab a bit, and then we load up and head back home.

We have also done small trunk shows, showing people various quilts and talking about Becky’s patterns!

Once we get back to Dade City, then we have to unload all the tubs of all the things and get them back to their correct homes! We do usually offer some special bargains that they can’t get at any other time.

This group was a very special group in that they applique. There are not many guilds that are applique only. The Feather Princess group is special in that they are only the ones that I know of that are like this.
