Yet ANOTHER box from Fran! Preparing to Focus on Charity Quilts

The other day I got yet another box of tops from Fran.

I have no idea how she is getting so much done! I suspect she’s getting help from others! :)

Anyway, here are the tops she sent me.

The larger ones -

The medium sized ones -

The smaller ones -

When I get these boxes, I do have to pay about $2.50 to get it - sort of a delivery fee from the post office. She was told one time by someone at the post office that was I going to have to pay $50 or more a box, so that scared us for a while. However, that hasn’t worked out to be the case, for which we are thankful. She pays enough in postage - we shouldn’t have to pay that kind of money to get them!

It is time for me to get going on the charity quilts for 2024. Past time, actually.

I wanted to show you the backings I have prepared already.

I have some up on the shelves. These are prepared and ready to go for the typical quilt top that we make into a 60x80” top.

Then, I’ve matched up a lot of tops already with the backings. I have them stored under the machine.

Once I use up all the bags of tops/backings that I’ve prepared, I will bring back over from the church building some of the bags of tops that I have ready to go. At that point I will begin to add to the tops I have that are too small and need borders. Maybe I can get some help from others around me. We’ll see.

So there you are anyway.

I have a bolt of poly batting ready to go to get started. I just need to GET started. I think once I do, I’ll really get going!

I just piled all the tops I recently finished down in the room so I would have them quickly available.

I want to get going quilting my tops as well as the charity ones! If I can get current on the ones I have, it would be a great thing.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!.

Thanks again so much for coming along with me on this journey!
