Finished.

This is number 26 from my series of quilts I've made from my 2" strips and scraps. It has been sitting on my shelf, quietly, waiting for me to tackle it. I've been ignoring it. It was kind of b-o-r-i-n-g--or so I thought.

After several hours of straight line quilting, I'm happy to say it's done! As I was working on it, I was thinking "It's taking me forever to get this thing quilted!"

Then, I relooked at the information as to how big this one is! 99"x107" No wonder it took so long! I hadn't needed to check the measurements when I sandwiched it because I already had the backing paired with the front, waiting to be sandwiched and quilted.

Just so you can see what I did with the quilting. I just straight line quilted down the middle of each of each of the blocks. I eye-balled it. I don't have the patience for that metal guide thing that is supposed to ride right along the seam line and you will end up with perfectly straight quilting.

Ha ha.

Maybe someday I will try ruler quilting. I think some people do it even with a domestic sewing machine. II don't think I'm there yet.

Here is draped over our 8' dining room picnic style table. This is one BIG quilt!

This is really a simple pattern...thus the name-- "Clean and Simple".

I had argued with myself, telling myself since there are so many angles that I should do curvy quilting. However, I told myself, "No!" You are going to "KISS" --"Keep It Simple, Stupid" and stick to following the theme of "clean and simple" all the way through to the quilting. So, I did straight line quilting. It did take much longer than a simple all over FMQ design would have, but I like the end result very much.
