Strings update

I worked on the weekend briefly on my strings. I only spent 1 long sewing session on them as I wanted to spend time doing other things.

I ended up making 40 of these little 3.5" blocks - and that is all.

Because I've been sorting through my various shelves in my sewing room, I found many different things made of strings. I am thinking about how best to use them.

These are what I found:

1. several big 10" diagonal blocks

2. a couple some diagonal string 6.5" blocks

3. a baggie of string butterflies

4. some of the big 10" straight up and down string blocks

I wasn't in the mood to get out the mess that was required to make the big blocks - and I just wanted to clean up some of the smaller stuff around me - and that is why I just made the smaller string blocks.

I did make them on background fabric and then trimmed them down.

I have this cute little 3.5" ruler that I used to cut them down with.  It is fun to use!

This is the second time I've written this post. I went to the website to check and make sure that all was okay and wow...it wasn't there! So, I've had to redo it. Frustrating!  I have no idea what happened.
