Stash enrichment - "second-hand"
My friend asked me if I wanted to buy some second hand fabric from her. I could have it for about $50 for all. So I did. I did it mostly to help her out, but I knew I could use it - (I've been hitting my larger pieces up pretty hard for backings. I can always piece them - and I will, but sometimes, I just like all one color for the backing of a quilt.)
And I got some colors I wanted!
Let me show you.
I took some time to fold them and sort them into colors/themes.
These were a wonderful addition to my "upcycleds" collection.
They are all technically second-hand, but I'll put the batiks, which I know she got off a local auction site in with my other batiks (also from the same auction) but the rest will go in with my second hand fabrics.
I have used up a lot from that room recently, since I made some large backings from the bookshelves with them. I'm glad to restock it.
Speaking of restocking...if you need something, be sure to check out what my sister has for you. She recently added a lot of fabric bundles! Be sure to check them out! These fat quarters are UNDER $1 each and no tax! Plus only $5 shipping for the whole order, no matter how big! Be sure to check it out!
These 5 Fat Quarters are perfect for so many projects!
100% Cotton
Fat Quarter Yard (approx. 18" x 21")
5 Individual Pieces totaling 1.25 yards of fabric
These beauties are all part of Rachael's picks fabrics from Quilted Twins site. Five fabrics that coordinate and would work great together in a scrappy type quilt.
Because they are part of Rachael's Picks fabric families, you can order more yardage of any of the five fat quarters for backings, as well. Rachael plans to carry each of these fabrics as a regular thing in the QuiltedTwins fabric by the yard department.
