"Triple Irish Delight" all done!
It is the season for finishes for me, and I was able to finish number seven in my upcycled blues series. I am not quilting them in the order that I made the tops.
If you want to keep on top of where I am with this series, you can always go to this link and see. I'll keep updating the pictures and links as I finish the tops.
While the trees are upside down in this picture, my heart wasn't in rehanging it just to take a better picture of the backing. (I had already taken pics of the front). Since it is a square quilt it didn't make any different from the front side how I hung it for the pictures.
The backing was a wonderfully high quality duvet cover. I loved working with it - it felt so silky smooth.
I originally wrote about this top quite a while ago. I will admit that for a while this was my favorite of these upcycled blues.
It still ranks up there are the top of my favorite ones that I've made from these blues.
It would be curious to know what you all think. Maybe when I get all done I'll see how you all would rank them from 1- 24 as to favorites down to least favorites.
It is amazing how different a basic triple Irish chain quilt can look by changing around colors!
Someone suggested it could be called an argyle quilt. Yes, it could. I didn't realize before I did this that was the pattern.
Of course, the quilt roll!
This is an incredibly busy quilt up close - with a ton of seams! There are about 6600 pieces of fabric in this quilt, so that does represent a lot of crossing of seams. I didn't even try for something to show off anything - I simply did loops. And yes, I like them!
It was a bit breezy when I was out taking pictures - but it wasn't bitterly cold!
I updated the pattern with some new pictures. It's here as a free download. Be sure to check it out!
I know it might be weird to say "Happy Good Friday!" But in truth, as Christians, we can be happy because of what Jesus did on the cross for us 2000 years ago! So, Have a fantastic Good Friday!
And that's it for today from this part of the world.
And if you need something from the store, be sure to feel free to order!
We do our best to see that you are satisfied!
