Bearing gifts!
When my husband came back from Alaska, he came bearing gifts!
Seriously!
Besides three sets of queen sized sheets, which I appreciated immensely, these are the things he brought me from Alaska! I had asked him to pick me up some more Alaska themed fabrics. I assured him he did great as I like all of them!
OK, OK, I had ordered the rulers which arrived and he brought them over AND some nonstick silicone baking sheets that can be used on my machine bed for free motion quilting instead of a Supreme Slider or similar item.
I’m tickled. I appreciate his bringing the long ruler over in his carry on backpack. He had it sticking out of it half way around the world! Of course I felt bad when I saw that. I thought it would have fit in the suitcase which was checked. But I do appreciate it. I didn’t really NEED the long ruler yet, but I wanted it for when one of my other ones gets a nick in or the lines start wearing off.
The fabric close up? You want to see it?
I just asked him to go and choose some nice Alaskan fabrics for me since I used up quite a few in my project. He told me sort of apologetically that he didn’t really know what to get me,or how much to get me (I was thinking 1 yard), so he picked out 4 and got me a yard and a half of each. He also told me how expensive it was to buy that much! I told him, “Yes, I know!” (This is why the QT shop is such a good deal - it’s just that we don’t have many Alaskan fabrics!)
You can check them out a bit closer here:
So now you know! My kind hubby brought home that long ruler sticking out of his personal bag - not his carry on as it had gotten checked - all the way from Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle, to Amsterdam and then on to Warsaw! That’s love!
Oh, and he’s off teaching again - this week he’s in Kiev, Ukraine. His topic? Preaching from the Old Testament.
You have a great day wherever you are!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
