My daughter graduated!
My second daughter, who also has, from time to time, worked for my twin sister at both her coupon business and here at Quilted Twins, finished with her BS degree in Engineering in early May.
This is why I was in the states for the month of May - at least that was the original reason for choosing this time to go.
She had started out as a counselling major, but changed to Engineering her junior year. It took her an extra year and a half to finish because of that - but her excellent grades stayed, though she changed from one of the easiest (I was told that by others) majors at the University to one of the toughest ones. (She’s a smart young lady!).
Congratulations Lydia!
Here’s a picture of Lydia with her siblings and spouses if they have them! We are blessed indeed.
I am so grateful that we were able to be together.
I had hoped to get this post up shortly after Lydia graduated on May 2, but I didn’t manage it. I was still tired from jet lag, and all the emotions of seeing the kids combined with being away from my computer and all thing “normal” to me conspired against me and I just decided to wait to share this.
I figure most of you really don’t mind seeing this a while after the fact. It still happened and it’s not that old!
The gold ribbon on Lydia’s shoulder means she got very good grades - graduating summa cum laude (with highest honors) and the ribbon and medal around her neck means at least one parent is a graduate of Bob Jones University, Greenville, SC where she attended. Both my husband and I graduated from there - I was a home ec education major and my husband a Bible major in our undergrad degrees.
Lydia was offered a research assistant position at Clemson heading towards a PhD. She accepted, so that’s what is going on with her life now!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
