Donated goodies!
Not long ago my friend called me and asked me if I wanted to go look at her father's old apartment and take what I wanted from it - esp. the bedding and such that was in it. He passed away a month or more ago now and they need to clean out the apartment.
So i did.
This is what I came home with.
3 bags of fabric - plus over 30+ shirts I'm thinking of making my friend a memory quilt from - I'm still kind of feeling out to see if she'd actually like one -
I didn't think a bag piled high with "stuff" would do it for you, so I laid it all out and took a picture so you can see. I am now restocked when it comes to "low volume" fabrics. I had worked my collection down to almost nothing!
Here are the fabrics laid out on my table. There is nothing jaw-droppingly beautiful here -but I'll see what I can do with it. Lots of white - and that's good. I had worked most of my whites down to a pretty small collection.
I also found a drawer that had some interesting thread and a couple pairs of scissors! What quilter can resist another pair? I can't.
I am feeling pretty blessed right now. Some of the fabric is just 'so-so' but some is really nice and will certainly beef up those sections of my second hand fabrics!
And that's what's been happening in my part of the world with regards to quilting!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you over in the store! She's always got something fun and exciting! Just spend some time browsing. Or put a word in the search engine up in the top right corner of the page and search for what you want.
