Final episode of "The Wedding Quilt" saga

Well, the quilt is finished.

I am exhausted. It's really just now hitting me how tired I am as I write.

So I'll make this short and sweet.

This morning I washed the quilt - well, the washing machine did - and it was hanging out to dry by 9:30 am or even before. I forgot to look at the clock exactly.

I then began to work on pillowcases and throw pillows.

I made really simple pillowcases first. I mean, the one-yard-sew-a-couple-of-seams-and-a hem-and-you-are-done type!

And, being who I am, I made them 2 sets of simple pillowcases - just in case the guy prefers the darker blue!

I had bonus triangles leftover from the larger half square triangles in the quilt - so I trimmed them down to 2 1/2" and made these pillow centers. I wanted to go ahead and make them large, so I added a couple of design elements to add interest.

This one is 14".

The checkerboard pieces were already together in strips of 3 when I put this together, so it was very quick and easy to get that center together.

Here is the final complete set of what they are getting.

The whole set.  And no, I've never met this couple that is getting married.

I'll be showing you close up pictures when I get the pattern ready for you - which I hope to do soon.

But for now, my Adrenalin has given way to fatigue.

Catch you tomorrow.

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!  I'm sure she has something you can use!
