"Corralling the Scraps"

I finished this top which has been lying on my shelf for a while now.

I used up some scraps of nature fabrics.which I had cut into 3” squares as I was going through my scraps a couple of years ago. Every time I came across fabric with a nature theme, I went ahead and cut them into 3” squares if they were large enough (and not into strips of 1.5”, 2” or 2.5”) .

The smaller squares that I often use weren’t the best for actually showing the nature scenes that are included in these pieces of fabric.

It’s a smaller quilt than I normally make - 63”x 88” or so.

I quilted this one once again with my Janome 8900 and used curls and swirls.

The scraps were surrounded by a couple of borders - that’s why the title of “corralling the scraps”.
