Yes, we still have lots to do to perfect it. I still have things I need to get to finish it up. I’m sure that in any case that a place like this will be constantly evolving as we discover things that will make this just about the most perfect and fun place to sew, other than your very own sewing corner! (Who doesn’t love to be at home?)

We had been asked again and again and again to have classes and to offer a place for people to come and sew, relax, hang out together and just have fun.

We found a unit in our strip mall that was empty, and 2.5 months ago we closed on it. Then, we had to give our renter 30 days to find a new place to go, as they had a business in the space. This left us about 3 weeks to get done by our goal date of Dec. 1. Didn’t happen. Too many interruptions, Thanksgiving, sicknesses and other issues.

But it’s done NOW!

We have set up our first class, which will be a beginning Quilting Class. This will begin Jan 8 and run for 6 consecutive Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost will be $125 for the ENTIRE class. Upon registration, you’ll be issued a $10 coupon off any purchase in our QuiltedTwins shop. You do NOT have to purchase the materials for this class in our shop to learn how to quilt in our shop. However, of course, we NEED you to shop at least some, as most of the $125 is going to the teacher and to the bank for the bank fees. In fact, I think Quilted Twins will clear about $2.75 out of the $125. But, we’re not here to make us rich. We’re here to help train beginners to sew and to quilt!

You can Register for this class HERE.

We have thought of so many fun things in this room, from the tv’s in the corners for some online instructions or just pure entertainment, to our accuquilt. We have one huge cutting center in the middle of the room, and so far one ironing board and iron. We have 13 sewing stations, each with your own plugin. Padded chairs round out the fun and spacious sewing area.

We have individual design boards ready for you at each station, along with a little ledge where you can set your cell phone to keep it handy, yet out of trouble.

When you need a break, we have a kitchen, where you can find coffee, tea and water! Hungry? Bring a snack. You make the mess. You clean it up!
