Tour of Quilted Twins ...... Come on inside.. Part 2
In Part 1 we covered the left side when you walk in… Now we’re turning right…

When you come into our front door you can either turn left, in to the cutting area and backing area, or turn right into the colors, batiks and Kaffe. On people’s first time visit, we encourage them to turn left, where the backings, panels, seasonal and novelty areas are. It’s an amazing sight to behold, and we don’t want you to miss a thing.
Once you’ve seen the novelties and been wowed by the panels and the seasonal room, then it’s time to go into our second half of the store. In this part we have put our colors. If it doesn’t have a fun novelty design or a floral design, it becomes a color. Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue-Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Gray and Black. We put the Off-whites with the Whites over by the white-whites, when you first walk in.
The first part is especially colorful and looks awesome!
Turn around and you’ll see the greens and blue-greens. Our blue-greens are probably the color area that is hit the hardest, next to the blacks.
Behind the blue-greens and greens are blues and purples.
Heading left down the hall, you’ll find to the right is our Batik Room #1.
This room has turned out to be a ton of fun and many a lady has had a meeting with friends in this room as they attempted to pick out just the perfect batik for a project. We’ve added chairs in here because of the length of time that people take to pick the perfect batik! By the way, we’re up to over 800 batiks that we have in house now!
We took the wall out and made it one large open area this past month. This has enabled even more people to be able to see all the beautiful fabrics that we have in this room.
Next to that is now Batik Room #2. We still have it half full of Riley Blake fabrics, so this room is in transition. The Riley Blakes are going away, and being incorporated into their novelty category, so that the entire room can be encompassed into batiks. We love, love, love batiks, and at $6.99 per yard, we have found that we have enough of a variety for people to love and to share and to be able to choose from.
Then, turn around from that room and you have our Specialty Room. That room is #4. Everything in Rm #4 is $9.99. That includes Kaffe, Grunge, and all the special fabrics that we’ve brought in to go with panels as well as to just brighten up our lives and to have fun with.. For instance, our Mahjong fabric, or BINGO or the beautiful peacock fabrics! These all are $9.99. At other stores, they’d be $11, $12 or $13/per yard.
Come out of the Kaffe room, head down down the short hallway and straight ahead you’ll find our licensed sports teams in small pieces. They are on a slat wall that we’ve grown to love. We’ve organized the teams by categories and you can buy the entire piece as it is.
Below that in the slat wall, right now, are our leftover MODA and Riley Blake short bolts from my packs. I haven’t gotten to putting them on the site. If you see something that you can’t live without, just email us, and we’ll sell it to you 😊 We’re here to sell fabric, not to keep it!
Our Civil War area
This area is super popular
After looking at the sports teams now, turn left and walk forwards to the other slat wall. That one has all Civil War stuff in it. It’s messy because it gets hit hard and the slats don’t want to stay in the slat wall. I’ll get it fixed, but it hasn’t been high on my “to fix” list.
Then, to the right of the slat wall is another cutting station, which is temporarily piled high with stuff, and the black fabrics! We have a lot of black fabrics, but we sell even more!
Then, as you turn around to leave, on your left again, on the far side of the Civil War slat wall is our grays and browns. Those two color groups are hit super hard as well.
Now before you leave, be sure to pin our map. We have a close up of Florida so you can showcase your home town, or a map of the entire USA with some parts of Canada on it, so we can see where you reside when you’re not visiting in our area!
Now, I didn’t let you back into the chop shop for now. Mainly, it’s because you can barely walk in there. I’ve also not been working back there as much as I need to have been, as I’ve been spending my time in other things!
As we walk up to the front and head to the check out counter, we’ll find the Jelly Roll area, where we keep the MODA Jelly Rolls. In the check out counter display cases we have all kinds of goodies that we’re not sure where else to put, and the display counter is as good as any place, right?
Then, as you leave, be sure to grab a snack and a Florida Register - both are free! We love FREE!
Before you leave, if your group isn’t done, find a chair. We have them throughout the store, so that people can enjoy the air conditioning and the environment, even if they are shopped out.
